Each member of the board of directors serves a three-year term and elections are held at the Annual Meeting in the Spring to fill the expiring seats.
Megan Bradley, President
Megan is a mother of four and a part-time small animal relief veterinarian. She has a deep appreciation for the Suzuki method, with three of her children currently involved in the program—one studying piano, another violin, and the third cello. Having grown up playing the viola, Megan experienced firsthand the joy and camaraderie of being part of a nurturing musical community. She is honored to serve on the board and support the Suzuki mission, hoping to create similar enriching experiences for young musicians in the area.

Leyre Alegre, Secretary
Leyre Alegre has been a Suzuki parent for 10 years since her two kids started playing violin, cello or piano. She teaches Spanish language & culture at Michigan Technological University and serves as secretary of Michigan Translators/Intepreters Association.

Chunxiu (Traci) Yu
Traci’s two daughters joined the CCSA family in 2018, with one playing the violin and the other playing the cello. Traci works as an assistant professor at Michigan Tech, where she teaches and conducts research. She has enjoyed watching her daughters grow in their musical abilities. Term expires May 2027.
Sean Lonnecker
Sean has a daughter in the program continuing her musical education in the violin. Sean retired from a career in the Army, settling his family in their home in L’Anse where he teaches at Baraga Public School. He and his wife eagerly support each of their kids’ activities, particularly when they show an interest in the Arts or community projects. Sean is eager to support the CCSA and to help expand music throughout the Copper Country and the Keweenaw Bay area.

Jon Ensminger
Jon has two daughters who are alumnae of the Suzuki program, and is grateful for the role the organization plays in furthering musical education and awareness in the community. Jon teaches piano at his home studio in Laurium and at Michigan Tech.
